Upper medium-sized female, medium-strong female, with a correct head and a feminine but strong expression. She has a high wither, a straight and firm back, and a short, steep croup. She has good angulation in the forehand with a steep upper arm and very good angulation in the rear. She is straight coming and going, and shows herself extremely well in movement, with nice reach from the front and powerful, effective drive from the rear. Overall, a well-put-together female with a functional and athletic build.
Hawk is self-confident, boisterous, and social with people and dogs, with a joy for working. In the home, she is easy, clean, and sensible. She enjoys cuddling on the couch and running rampant through the fields. She has high food drive and moderate toy drive, with lots of possession and prey, and has a little edge to her. She is not always an easy dog in obedience, but she wants to be right and can sometimes think a little too far ahead of herself to try to do that. A wonderfully natural and impressive tracker, with a deep nose and methodical technique; a fast, powerful protection dog, with full, hard grips every single time, and a contact that you can hear from down the field. She retains the clear-headedness that I loved from her mother, but has gained a little bit of hardness while remaining sweet and handleable.
