HEALTH STATISTICS

While I understand that even though my breeding dogs may be extensively health tested (and have received passing marks), there is no guarantee that what they produce will be so fortunate. The unfortunate fact of the matter is that all dogs, purebred or mutt, are at risk of genetic disease. The only real difference between the two is that in one case, the genetics are unknown, and thus a gamble. As a result, I do my best to try and keep track of as much available information as possible, so that I might be more aware of the long term health and production of my program.

All breeders will inevitably produce something less than ideal - no dog is perfect, after all. Sometimes, that's as simple as a dog with light colored eyes, or ears that are weak or teepee, but other times it is, unfortunately, a life-altering defect. Thus, I have created this page as a way to maintain transparency regarding what information exists for each litter, and to better be able to track any trends that may appear. In this way, I hope to be able to make the most informed breeding decisions I can.
